Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

How does the telling of the story through different voices, different characters, affect us as readers? Does it confuse or clarify meaning?

The narrator is an anonymous person who uses a third person limited point of view. Stevenson takes on three different voices, through three different people, to achieve a slightly fragmented account of Jekyll and Hyde. This mirrors the very fragmented life of Jekyll who struggles with two people inside of him.
