Hyde doesn't get a lot of character development. He is described as having "complete moral insensibility and insensate readiness to evil". People hence generally stay well away from him. He only does two bad things. He knocks over a girl and pummels an old man to death. Other than that he is pretty reclusive when he is Mr. Hyde. Everyone that knows of him thinks he is a nasty old monster.
