Why does Christine get the flag during the initiation game?

Beatrice and Christina are the first initiates to reach the opposing team's flag. Christina tells Beatrice that because she has already proven herself, she (Christina) insists she be the one to retrieve the flag. Beatrice gives in and allows her to do so.
