In the context of the text, does money buy happiness? How does Tocqueville describe American’s relationship with money?

According to money drives every action of the American man. He notes, however, that Americans do not acquire wealth through war or politics, but rather, through peaceful trading and manufacturing. Tocqueville also mentions that American industry created an increase in the division of labor, which in turn, created the conditions for the birth of a new aristocracy based on money.
