Did the boys at the Academy receive a "good" education? Why or why not?

They received a traditional education that would lead to Ivy League schools. In that sense it was an elite private school and very good. The school however did not help the boys’ emotional or intellectual exploration. The school was very rigid in its expectations and outcomes.
