Cry, the Beloved Country

Father Vincent says to stephen Kumalo: ".....sorrow is better than fear. Fear is a journey, a terrible journey, but sorrow is at least an arriving." Do you agree that sorrow is better than fear? Why or why not?

Yes, because what Father Vincent is saying is that not knowing something can be worse than knowing. When you know what you're up against, you can deal with it. It's worse to live with fear of the unknown.
