Do you see any parallels between how the japanese treat the native islanders and how the united states treats the native americans? Use the word "tolerate".

The Japanese gain control of the land and kill or relocate many of the Islanders. The Islanders are unprepared and weak... they have no means to defend themselves against the Japanese, thus, they are forced to tolerate the torture and slavery imposed upon them. This might be compared to the American's treatment of the Native Americans. The "Trail of Tears" for example, or the battles between the Native Americans and American soldiers.
