A man has an obligation to act according to the dictates of his conscience, even if the latter goes against majority opinion, the presiding leadership, or the laws of society. An unjust law goes against a man's individual conscience and forces him to do things against his nature. A just law acts in the interests of all people and is not immoral or contrary to freedom and liberty.
