why was santiago nasar compared to Jesus

The wasy Santiago Nasar died and the curly hair etc show strong connections between Santiago Nasar and Jesus, bu tmy question still remains as why? Why were they compared?

I mean SN was a horrible person, he abused women etc. But why was HE compared to Jesus?

The name Santiago means, "Saint". Nasar is a Jewish and his name suggests that he came from Nazareth where Jesus came from. Just as Santiago's death was foretold, so was the death of Jesus. Like Jesus, Santiago was considered an outsider.
