How is china/china's culture presented in the book?

I have a school project and it would really help me out if someone answered this question because i am really stuck. I just nedd a couple of ideas.

Chinese Culture is represented through many parts in the book examples of Chinese new year and how the children get new clothing & in how Chinese values their family.
