Sad/sombre/melancholic feelings because she does not want to leave school
 Home is associated with painful memories
 She feels pessimistic about her future and her life (no luck)
 Fear about being called home. She seems to have only been asked to come home if someone had died or when she was in trouble
 Feels unwanted, unaccepted- feels humiliated
 She fears/apprehension her father and treats him as a bully that deliberately hurts her
 Her emotions swiftly change as she becomes the focus of good news
 She is jubilant and hopeful
 She wishes to obtain her goal without trampling on father’s ego
She is optimistic and grateful.
