What happened to mike teavee and veruca salt at the end?

Mike is taken away by the Oompa Loompas to go to the taffy stretching room. Mike shows up looking rather tall and stretched. Veronica is judged as a ‘bad nut’ and sent down the garbage shaft. She shows up with garbage all over her.
