Yossarian tells Wintergreen that Milo is infuriated because Wintergreen is competing in the black market against him. Wintergreen replies to Yossarian that he should do his own job, which is to bomb Bologna. Wintergreen and Clevinger then accuse Yossarian of moving the bomb line. Yossarian argues that he is justified in saving his own life.
