What attitude do the people in Eldorado have toward their gold and other stones?

Their attitude is one of nonchalance. Being surrounded by these riches and seeing them as a part of their everyday lives leaves the people of El Dorado taking their riches for granted. It isn't special to them..... they basically feel nothing.
