Everybody loves a good movie, musical act, or dance performance. This was just as true in history as it is today. When moving pictures came out they could be enjoyed by a popper with little money at a two-bit bar and the very same movie could be enjoyed by millionaires at a grand opera house. Guys like Charlie Chaplin enjoyed huge success across the classes even though he often was critical of the wealthy class. Music, dance and even sport transcend the most rigid class structures.
