why does mustapha Mond NOT send john back to the savage reservation?

From the text:

“He said he wanted to go on with the experiment."

The controller refuses to let John leave because it would interfere with his experiment. This can be found on Page 166 in my copy. If your question relates to another chapter please let me know.
