Linda blames John for putting her in the predicament in which she finds herself.... she is not kind. As a woman, Linda was capricious, unloved and without emotion. She uses sex to get what she wants, something that doesn't go over well on the reservation. As a stranger to the society of the reservation she is misunderstood.... different. Unable to obtain her soma, shhe becomes an alcoholic. Linda is a pitiable creature, exactly what her society made her.
