Which William Faulkner novel can I compare with The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison?

I need to compare two novels and I decided to choose The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison and compare it to a William Faulkner novel. However, I'm having trouble deciding which Faulkner novel to compare it to. They have to have a common theme, topic, or something else that I can compare. Thanks!

William Faulkner's "Light in August" has many usable comparisons to Morrison's "The Bluest Eye". For example, one of the characters, Joe Christmas, denies his African American heritage in a similar fashion to Pecola of "The Bluest Eye".
