Racism is the most common issue of the Unites States.It is not limited in any age.Toni Morrison tries to present this issue using the background of 1900's.The Bluest Eye is like a painting,a black and white painting like a sketch.when we read about Pecola,we become surprised.we become astonished to see how racism can control a person's life.Pecola is always humiliated because she is a negro girl.she doesn't get love and affection from her mother.her mother is always frustrated and unhappy because of her position as a negro person in the society.we find a cruel picture of the United States of 1900's where love and affection,family values,relationship between father and daughter,everything is destroyed because of racial issues.it seems that every emotion,every good thing depends on our color.it doesn't matter how much a person tries to make a position in the society.the society of 1900's judge people by their color.we become shocked.Pecola stands in front of us as the mouthpiece of every African-American person crying for our consideration.
