Blood Wedding

What is the role of society in the play Blood Wedding?

I want to know if society pressured the characters in the play to do something they wouldn't do otherwise.

Well, without societal pressure in the novel Blood Wedding , the bride may not have run away with her childhood sweetheart on the day of her wedding; she would have been marrying him to begin with.......... thus, her sweetheart and the groom wouldn't have killed each other in the end. I would guess that without the pressure, everyone would have lived happily ever after, or at least for a little while!
