The book begins with the quote, "If you can see, look. If you can look, observe." What do you think this means? Explain why you think this quote was included in the beginning of the book.

From the text, we can infer that the author is referring to the spread of the disease..... the moment of blindless. If someone else has been effected, you need to see it happening..... you need to be aware of your surroundings.
