Describe Mr. Crane's attitude towards Richard.

Mr. Crane isn't exactly a hands-on boss. He wants to give Richard the opportunity to learn a trade, and he knows he is being aboused by the other workers. None-the-less, he wasn't going to address the issue unless Richard was willing to make a formal complaint and talk to him about it.
