Lord Krishna explains that jnana is the knowledge of the divine, and vijnana, is literally 'living' knowledge of the divine, meaning the ability to practice it in everyday life. He says that vijnana is the goal of many, but that only a few are able to attain it, because it requires singular dedication to the divine through meditation and yoga.
