Men ruled everything. They were the masculine manifestation of all things great in the temporal world and the spiritual world. Men waged war, secured land and even provided the seed for offspring. Much of their culture surrounded acts of violence in both external and internal matters. Men, hence were predisposed to take on these very patriarchal roles.
