Bartleby had seen an add placed by the lawyer. The Lawyer hires Bartleby to do some extra work. Bartleby pretty much lives at the office. The Lawyer tries to accommodate Bartleby even giving him time off for eye strain. Bartleby agrees but soon stops working all together.
