Bad Feminist is a collection of essays (some previously published, some new) by Roxane Gay, first published in 2014. Gay writes about social justice, literature, pop culture and her lived experiences, using each as a lens with which to comment on the others. The collection is organized into the following five sections: Me; Gender & Sexuality; Race & Entertainment; Politics, Gender & Race; and Back to Me. The book was widely praised by reviewers and was received largely favorably by many feminist readers.
