what do you personally like about the book?

I like the sense of atonement that the protagonist feels. Briony's actions haunt her and she tries her best to put things right long after the damage is done. This theme happens in many people's lives to different extents. Atonement is something that people often ignore because it is both humbling and difficult. I like the way the author treats this theme.
