Is happiness praiseworthy?

Aristotle says that, while virtue is praiseworthy, happiness is above praise. It is easy to confuse the two, since virtuous living is a necessary condition for happiness. But Aristotle is careful to say that it is not happiness itself, since happiness itself requires right reason and good fortune, as well.
