Zero Day by David Baldacci

In Chapter 2, the author describes the physique of our protagist. What does the sentence, "He was taller than most infantrymen and almost all other Army Rangers he had served with. That had its advantages and disadvantages. His muscles were long and ropy and his limbs carried the advantage of extraordinary leverage and endurance." mean?

It is simply describing the physicality of the protagonist. He has a physical presence that sets him apart from the other soldiers.
