Cheap grace is the “justification of sin without the justification of the sinner” (43). It’s an excuse to live like the rest of the world, a mere intellectual assent to a group of doctrines or data. It is for the sake of the world rather than the sake of the grace of God—no departing from sin. Cheap grace is the grace we as human being s bestow upon ourselves.
