Good Luck Calculator

Quirks, idiosyncrasies, peculiarities. They help differentiate us. What is one of yours? (133 words max)

I've never once questioned why I had to bring my teal-blue, TI-34, MultiView calculator with me to my driver's license test. It was outdated in design, and nearly obsolete in comparison to the sophisticated calculators my peers sported. Admittedly, my level of math transcended the use of basic scientific calculators, and I graduated to a TI-84+ years ago. My ventures into polar equations and infinite sequences rendered the functionality of the device useless.

Yet, I clung onto my calculator like a vise. What others called a glorified plastic brick, I called my good-luck calculator. So why exactly did I have to bring my calculator with me to my driving test? In my mind, the answer is simple. It's my lucky charm, and wherever I need some good fortune, it comes along with me.
