Why Jhon Donne did believe that sexual union leads to divine union?

Please give me the answer according to the poem “The Ecstasy" by John Donne.

The Ecstasy describes two lovers who have shaken off their physical bodies, their "mortal coils" when they experience orgasm. It is in this heightened sense of sexual awareness that they experience divine or pure love. Dunn suggests the sexual union produces a third or "divine being" that is a baby.
