Besides the Bible they followed a book called “Nicholson’s Repentances.” Most of it was an ultra-orthodox guide to everything “normal”. In it was all kinds of dogma extoling how happy God is when everything is the same. “Blessed is the norm” is rule number one. The rest of it rambles on about deviants, mutations, and blasphemies and how the Devil thinks all these are really cool.
