What might have happened if Minnijean was allowed to participate in the school choral program?

Minnijean was convinced that students will accept her once they hear her sing. The Mother’s League bars her participation in talent show. I think things would have been ugly like most of the interactions between the black kids and white kids. Although not all the white children were aggressive, it took only one to ruin everything. This most certainly would have happened should Minnijean been allowed join the choir.
