9a. What does Atticus do when Robert Ewell spits in his face and threatens to kill him?

Atticus just wipes his face with a handkerchief and walks away. Later he say “I wish Bob Ewell wouldn’t chew tobacco.” When Scout and Jem worry about the threat, Atticus says that Ewell's "bark is worse than his bite."
