Narrator stumbles on nice cabin among abandoned gold town.

Narrator expecting his wife, insistent the narrator wait a few days for her

Henry, the husband, nervous something might happen to her.

Henry's friends come to prepare for her arrival.

Henry's friends get Henry drunk and put to bed. They explain his wife has been dead for 19 years. They do this to ease Henry's crazy mind.
