What is the earliest story event referred to within the plot of Antigone?

There is some kind of event that occured during the plot of Antigone. It was the earliest event. Does anyone have any idea what this would be?

I think that you are referring to the backstory of Oedipus's edict that each of his sons, Polyneices and Eteocles will rule alternating years. Eteocles does not want to give up his power when his year of rule is up. The two brothers go to war. Creon, the new ruler of Thebes, has decided that Eteocles will be honoured and Polyneices will be in public shame.
