How does the chorus feel about the battle between Etelecoles and Polynieces?

I dont understand this book but I need to know so I can do good on a test

The Chorus is kind of your friendly guide throughout the play. They also serve as a moral compass, sometimes even intervening in the action. Though they at first seem to be totally on the side of their new king Creon and hence Etelecoles, they begin to soften up urging the King to calm down over Anigone.
