Why was it easy for Equality to escape the prison? Does this reason reflect a weakness or strength of this society?

No one had ever tried to escape, thus, there was nothing to stop Equality from doing so. I believe that this reflects a strength (governmental), as it proves they have the control they desire (except in Equalities case).
