How does using the words "We", "Our", and "Us", instead of any form of "I" affect the reader ?

"I" would reflect individuality. The author's use of "We", "Our", and "Us", allows the reader to ascertain this is not a society of individuals but rather a society in which differences are unwelcome and sameness is embraced.
