Structure:
Ayn Rand has become a high-profile and controversial figure in American politics and philosophical discourse. Divide the class into groups of three. Give the groups 45 minutes to research Ayn Rand’s life and beliefs, focusing specifically on her influence on American politics. Then, give the groups another 30 minutes to display their findings using a PowerPoint presentation. Encourage groups to delegate different tasks to different people in their group in order to be more efficient with time.
