Animal Farm

Would you consider Squealer ego-obsessed?

Would Squealer be a better leader if he had taken over the farm? Well, he focuses on big projects rather than taking small steps to fulfill his goal (that's what an idealistic and realistic person would do). Thus, since obsessive expectations tend to put the ego above the project, would you consider Squealer ego-obsessed? & do you think that the future of Animal Farm would have been better under Squealer's charge?

I think that Squealer relishes in his role as “spokespig” and manipulator of animals. He does not want Napoleon's power and is clever enough not to cross Napoleon. Sqealer certainly takes pride in his gifts of oratory and deception. I don't know if he is obsessed with his ego but he certainly thinks he is above most of the other animals.
