Benjamin is well known for being intelligent and keeping his mouth shut. He has strong views, but he doesn't boast about them. He also has a strong sense of character and doesn't allow anyone to manipulate him. In Chapter Seven, his speaking out is ironic because he oversteps the boundaries he set for himself.
