How were the pigs able to persuade the other animals that they should get all the milk and apples, instead of sharing them equally amongst all the animals?

The pigs, through Squealer, use propaganda and fear tactics to manipulate the other animals and get what they want. The pigs are running the show, and the other animals have been made to believe that the pigs are the elite.... the only ones capable of making decisions. The apples and milk provide the pigs with brain power, thus, it is only right that they should have them. Without proper sustenance, they might grow disorganized. miss important things..... allow Jones to successfully return and regain his farm.
