how did the animals react to squealer being sent around to explain the new setup?

napoleon sent the 9 dogs after snowball making him run away and cancelled sunday meetings so he asked squealer to go around and tel the animals the new set up

At first the animals are confused but are eventually won over when Squealer threatens the return of farmer Jones should they not follow exactly what Napoleon says.
