Boxer has a couple of maxims. One is 'I will work harder.' He embraces this maxim as an answer to every problem or setback. The other is a blind support for Napoleon, "Napoleon is always right." This shows us Boxer's simplicity of understanding his world. He does not question rather than obeys under the pretense of virtue.
