Animal Farm

Mr. Jones was a farmer, his ultimate concern was with himself and his family. His animals were there to work, to proivde him with labor, and as such, to provide him with a living.

Napoleon's ultimate concern was for himself and the pigs. The other animals were there to labor, to provide him with means of money and barter. Unlike Jones, Napoleon used threats and physical punishment, even death, to control the other animals. Also unlike Jones, Napoleon lied to the other animals in order to reach his goals.
