Unlike the rest of her family, Sheila is down to earth. She takes what the Inspector says to heart, is genuinely saddened and guilt ridden over Eva Smith's fate, and she is willing to take responsibility for her own actions. Sheila is appalled by the reactions of her family, as well as her fiance.
