In what ways do the mother and father carry out the traditional stereotyped male-female roles? would either one wish to exchange? Explain.

The narrator's mother carries out the traditional roles of mother, wife, and homemaker. Her work is just as difficult as the men's, and she is well aware of her contributions to the family. She does, however, looks forward to the day when her daughter can help her out. I do not get the impression that she would want to change places with her husband.

The narrator's father is also a hard worker.... he does not, however, want to change roles with his wife.
