Book vs. New Movie

For those of you who love the themes of the original work - what is your reflection on the new movie? Is anything lost? Do some of the original themes and messages come through in the movie?

I don't really like the movie. It's just not as good as the book. But watching it on the scene is different in a positive way, in comparison to reading.
